At Smithmyers Meat, we take great pride in the quality and freshness of every item we sell. Because many of our products are perishable, we have specific policies in place to ensure safety and fairness for both our customers and our business.


Perishable Items (Meats, Deli Products, Prepared Foods)

Due to food safety regulations, all sales of perishable items are final.
We cannot accept returns or exchanges on meat, deli, or any temperature-sensitive products once they leave our store.

However, your satisfaction matters to us. If your order arrives damaged, spoiled, or incorrect due to our error, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery or pickup.

  • Include your order number, a brief description of the issue, and clear photos of the product and packaging.

After reviewing your claim, we may offer one of the following resolutions at our discretion:

  • Store credit (preferred method)

  • Replacement of the affected items (if feasible)

Refunds will be issued only if neither option is possible and the issue is determined to be a direct result of our handling.


Non-Perishable Items

For shelf-stable or non-food items, returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery if the product is unused, unopened, and in its original packaging.

  • Proof of purchase is required.

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error.

Approved refunds for non-perishable items will be issued as store credit or original payment, depending on the situation.


Responsibility and Liability

Once your order leaves our facility, Smithmyers Meat is not responsible for:

  • Delays or damage caused by the carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.)

  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery addresses provided by the customer

  • Packages left unattended after delivery

  • Improper handling or storage after receipt

We strongly recommend ensuring someone is available to receive perishable shipments and refrigerate them immediately upon arrival.


Cancellations

Orders can be canceled within 1 hour of placement unless they have already been processed or shipped. After that window, cancellations are no longer guaranteed.
